Coronary stent system can be sent to the diseased part through cardiac catheter in the closed state, and then expanded by balloon expansion to support the blood vessel wall. Coronary stent system is the main means to treat coronary heart disease. Coronary stent system must comply with industry standards. As it is high-value consumables and third kind of medical devices, it has high requirements for technology.

Does coronary stent system harm to our body?

What should be paid attention to after using coronary stent system?

What is the history of coronary stent system?

Does coronary stent system harm to patients?

The coronary stent system is not harmful to the body. The harm of coronary stent system placement mainly refers to the possible complications, but the incidence is low and the risk is controllable.

The postoperative complications of coronary stent system placement include the tear of the blood vessel at the distal end of the stent. It is often necessary to place another stent at the tear for treatment, thrombosis in the stent, and the stent falls off into the coronary artery during implantation. The stent cannot be sent to the lesion and cannot be withdrawn. Emergency surgery is required.

The coronary stent system is unloaded outside the coronary artery and rushes to the celiac or lower limb artery with the blood flow. The stent is implanted into the bifurcation vascular lesion to block the branch vessels. At the calcified lesion, the stent cannot be fully opened. Due to the need for antiplatelet treatment after stent surgery, it may cause systemic bleeding and arteriovenous fistula.

What should be paid attention to after using coronary stent system?

The coronary stent system is not once and for all. Drug treatment also needs to keep up and establish a scientific lifestyle and behavior habits. After placing coronary stent system, we should strictly take drugs and do a good job in lifestyle intervention to control blood pressure, blood lipid and blood glucose. It is advised to regularly visit the cardiology clinic to adjust the drug treatment plan and recheck relevant indicators. Do not stop taking drugs blindly. In case of heart discomfort, see a doctor in time.

Patients should adhere to medication and pay attention to self-observation. In case of skin or gastrointestinal bleeding, fatigue and weakness, go to the hospital as soon as possible. After the coronary stent system is placed, it does not mean that this part will not be blocked again. In order to prevent vascular lesions again, anticoagulants need to be taken.

Check regularly, including blood pressure, blood glucose, and blood lipid. Otherwise, you will face the risk of recurrence. Patients with hypertension, diabetes and cerebrovascular diseases should attach great importance to the treatment and regular examination of primary diseases.

During the recovery period after coronary stent system placement, it is necessary to increase the intake of calories, protein and vitamins to promote postoperative recovery. But then controlling hyperlipidemia is a long-term task.

What is the history of coronary stent system?

So far, coronary stent systems have developed three generations, namely bare metal stents, drug coated stents and biodegradable stents.

In 1993, bare metal coronary stent systems were first used in clinic. But it was found that the probability of in stent restenosis was still relatively high. The main cause of restenosis was vascular endothelial hyperplasia.

Therefore, people coated the surface of stents with anti-proliferative drugs, namely drug coated coronary stent systems. In 2003, drug coated stents began to be used in clinic. Later, the coated drugs and carriers were further improved.

However, the technology is constantly improved. Ideally, after the coronary stent system is completed and the blood vessels are reshaped, we hope that the stent can dissolve and disappear so as to avoid continuous foreign body stimulation. The third generation of biodegradable coronary stent system came into being. However, because the material cannot reach the level of metal stent, the results of clinical trials are not satisfactory. The future trend of biodegradable stents may require more technical updates and more perfect surgical procedures.
