What are the components of PTCA balloon dilatation catheter?
The distal end of PTCA balloon dilatation catheter is composed of two parts: metal spring and plastic cover. The spring structure provides push-ability and longitudinal rigidity for the distal end of the catheter while maintaining flexibility during bending. So the distal end can help the system through the curved blood vessels.
The product has two platinum-iridium ray opaque labeling strips (located symmetrically below the balloon working area, indicating the length of the balloon tube) to assist in the relatively narrow position of the balloon.
In addition, the proximal axis has a proximal (exit) marker to help measure the position of the dilated catheter relative to the tip of the catheter. Axis markers for humeral and femoral techniques are in place.
PTCA balloon dilatation catheter has a usable length of 142cm with a proximal profile of 2.0F (0.70mm). The catheter with a balloon diameter of 1.00 -- 4.00 mm had a distal axial profile of 2.7F (0.90 mm). The RX port is about 0.014 ".
